Ok so I’ve been thinking about this post for awhile. I’ve been wondering if all this stuff would be best kept for my inside voice.

Perhaps I shouldn’t go opening my big mouth and talking about all the things I don’t like. Maybe it’s not very positive, and maybe like my Nana always says it is better to have people think you stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. She’s a pretty wise old lady my Nana.

One of the issues with talking about what I don’t like is that I might offend some people and really truly honestly I don’t want to do that. Everyone is entitled to their own view of what makes a good image, and I think any photographer worth their salt has pretty strong views about what they like and don’t like, and we certainly don’t all agree. Frankly if we did then we would all be producing the same images and it would be pretty damn dull.

I am not writing this post to slam what other photographers do. I’m writing it so that you can see where I am coming from and where I want to be going as a photographer. Read More

I’m really excited!!! A couple of months ago Sam Mothersole one of the lovely genius ladies behind the Love and Soul photography workshops gave me a call and asked me if I would like to come on board.

Hell YES!!!! When do I start!!!

You may remember Tommy and Elissa from their gorgeous Engagement shoot that I did just a few months ago down on the Wellington waterfront. These guys didn’t muck around they got engaged and then married just a few short months later, they knew what they wanted and went for it. And boy did they do it in style with a stunning vintage themed wedding at Gear Homestead.

Tommy and Elissa your wedding really was beautiful and I loved getting to spend the day with you as your photographer. I hope you love your pictures and wish you all the best for your lives together. xxx Read More
